How to find the boat House

The boat house is very near the rugby pitch, backing onto Pearse St. It has 2 big black metal doors, see map.

When?

Pool Session

We have our pool session on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, where you can practice the basics of how to get into a canoe, capsizing (in warm water!!) and then move onto learning to role and for more advanced paddlers - perfecting your hand role. Everyone is welcome from beginners right up to the experienced playboater or creeker.

We meet outside the boat house at 7:45, and its a short walk up to the nice new college pool. All you need to bring is swimming stuff (togs, towel, swim hat, lock for a locker). You need to be a member of the sports centre to get in

Hope to see you there soon.

Weekend River Trip

Generally we go on a river trip each Sunday. Where we go is dependent on rain fall and the ability of the group.

If you're interested in coming along on a trip, email Clare (outings@dukc.net) (ideally before Wednesday of that week).

Dublin University Kayak Club recognises that kayaking is an activity with a danger of personal injury or death. The club strongly promotes the ethic that individuals involved in these activities must be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and personal involvement.
